I spent the majority of my weekend working toward my CIMT (Certified Infant Massage Teacher) credential. I’m very excited to add this new dimension to my parenting coach practice!
I recently found this article published in the International Journal of Nursing Practice that suggests the effects of massage on a child that had symptoms of colic could be helpful. The sad part is that the study did not include a group of children that received massage without lavender scented oil. It would be great to see if the lavender worked as a negative or positive effect because it can actually act as a stimulant for younger children rather than a calming agent!
